Wear the rain suit over your armored jacket, rented or your own. Check the layers together. The base layer goes against the skin, protective clothing above it. Choose a rain suit larger than your jacket size, not by T-shirt label. For a larger build, bring measurements and try the combination in-store.

Use a balaclava as a helmet liner inside a rental helmet, so your skin touches your own washable fabric. Full face helmets take chin-covering styles, open face helmets half-head versions. RS Taichi states RSX158 blocks over 90% of UV rays. It does not replace sunscreen. On an open face helmet, check it covers neck and nape.

For longer wet stretches, compare label ratings rather than assuming every suit from a familiar brand resists water equally. Manufacturers list 20,000 mm for Givi ARS03 and 10,000 mm for ILM RS03. RSRR08 has no confirmed figure. Higher ratings mean longer rain resistance, not permission to immerse the suit.

Every helmet bought at BigBike includes a free balaclava, but frequent washing is a reason to keep a spare. For touring, start with rainwear. Add a balaclava next, then a base layer. Short city rides need only rainwear and headwear. The locally made cooling base-layer set sells as separate tops or bottoms.

Inspect items on arrival. All rain suits carry a 3-month warranty, while RS Taichi RSU328 and RSU329 have 12 months for stitching and fastener faults. Hevik HVB210 also has 12 months. Other balaclavas, straps and LS2 visors are exchanged for defects on receipt, with no month-based warranty. Size exchanges within 30 days are separate.
