Length
The Kewig BD-1S elastic cargo strap presses luggage down onto the rear seat or rack with four elastic strands and two plastic-coated steel hooks, in 60 cm and 90 cm lengths. Slide the two keepers and the four strands spread out over the load. The 60 cm size is 125,000 VND, the 90 cm size 145,000 VND.
How it is built
A helmet on the rear seat with nothing holding it. Four parallel strands join two plastic-coated steel hooks; slide the two keepers and they spread out over the load. Each strand is 1 cm wide. The latex core stretches to twice its length and returns when released. The plastic coating does not scratch the bodywork.
Where it fits
The bike needs a hook point on the rear seat or a rack to use the elastic strap.
BigBike has test-strapped the 60 cm size: a full-face helmet on the rear seat, a small bag and a rain suit on the rack. Helmets and work bags take the 60 cm size; boxes and large backpacks take the 90 cm size.
Installation
Set the load on the rear seat → Fit one hook to a hook point → Slide the keepers so the four strands spread out → Pull the strap tight across the load → Fit the other hook → Shake it.
Shake the load before riding. When removing the strap, keep a firm grip on the hook. Do not let go while the strap is under tension.
Four strands hold one load at several points.
The steel hooks have a plastic coating that does not scratch the bodywork.
The strap body has a reflective stripe.
Slide the keepers to set how far the strands spread for each load.
The strap presses the load down onto the rear seat; it does not hang it, so there is no kg rating. BigBike makes no promise about load capacity.
A bike with no rack and no tie-down hooks cannot take the strap yet. Send BigBike a photo of the tail of the bike before ordering.
Elastic straps wear out. BigBike only replaces a strap with a manufacturing fault found on delivery.
Sold as a single strap.
