Two cameras
The maker states a 2K front camera and a 1K rear camera, recording together for about 4 hours. The rear camera captures the bike behind, but plates are harder to read than on the front camera.
The front camera rotates 360°, the rear adjusts through 150°. The rear camera sits on its own mount, wired to the main unit. Take photos with a button on the unit. The included 32GB card stores the video and the unit loops over it when full. BigBike has tested transferring video through the AVDEO app over WiFi.
To record all day, you have to charge part way through. Pick the stretches worth recording and start or stop recording with the bike stopped.
Intercom for 4
At a fuel stop in Bao Loc, the whole group pairs up before the next stretch. Bluetooth intercom links up to 4 riders. BigBike has tested a full set of 4 units at once.
The maker states a range of about 500m, extended to 2km by relaying between units. The unit in the middle relays the conversation.
Over a pass with the mountain in the way, the conversation cuts out. Once the group closes up, the units reconnect by themselves. Share music with your riding partner on a long stretch. Set each channel's volume while stopped to choose the level for the next stretch.
Battery, sound and fitting
After a day in the northwest, you charge the unit before setting off the next morning. The maker states about 30 hours of intercom or music and about 360 hours of standby. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours over USB-C.
At rest, pick an EQ mode to your taste and get used to the English and Chinese prompts. Keep the volume moderate so you still hear horns.

BigBike has fitted the S12 to full-face, 3/4, modular and dual sport helmets. The rear camera goes on its own mount at the back of the helmet, wired to the main unit.
