The Scoyco MT038WP is a high-cut motorcycle boot that covers past the ankle, with two plastic buckles per boot and Velcro straps on both sides. Who it fits
Multi-day touring, rain, cold night rides, one pair of boots for the whole trip. The MT038WP does that with a high cut that covers past the ankle without reaching mid-shin, a built-in waterproof membrane per the maker, and a classic look that works in town. Each boot uses two plastic buckles plus Velcro straps.
Officially imported with an invoice, a Vietnamese secondary label and a QR tag on every pair. Sizes 41 to 46, in black and dark brown. Free shipping nationwide. Size exchange at BigBike: message us on Zalo first so the shop holds two sizes.
The boot has no safety standard printed on the tag. Riders who need a printed standard, a size below 41, or who walk a lot should look at another model.
Buckles, cuff, upper
Two plastic buckles per boot with a slight flex, both on the outer side, one at the ankle and one above the ankle bone. Velcro straps on both sides. No zip.
The cuff has a pleated elastic band. The upper is 100% PU-coated microfiber according to the secondary label. The brown is a dark brown.
Note: work the buckles and straps only when the bike has stopped.
Rain, water, drying
The built-in waterproof membrane per the maker and the high cuff hold off spray and water running down from the trouser leg. Before riding on, fasten the buckles and straps and pull the trouser hem over the cuff so water does not run in from the top.
All-day rain, stream crossings and prolonged soaking come with no promise of dry feet. Prolonged soaking is not covered. The mesh lining and thick foam padding are glued in, so after a wet stage the whole boot has to be dried in a ventilated place, never heat-dried.
Protection, care
TPU blocks on the inner, outer and rear sides. Per the maker, the built-in PP ankle pad limits ankle roll in a side slide, a protective feature of the boot. A rubber pad where the shift lever touches. The upper and the rear are pleated so the ankle flexes when you put a foot down or shift. No metal toe, no reflective trim, no safety standard printed on the tag.
Clean with plain water and dry in a ventilated place. No machine washing, no tumble drying, no prolonged soaking, keep away from fire. Keep the QR tag with the invoice to claim your benefits.
The first three cleanings are free at BigBike; out-of-town riders send the boots to the shop.
Choose or not
Choose the MT038WP for multi-day touring, the rainy season, cold night rides, when you need a cuff over the ankle and like a classic look that works in town. This Scoyco riding boot is a touring boot, not a walking shoe.
If you walk a lot after getting off the bike or need a small size, look at the low-cut Scoyco MT106 with its dial. The short-cut, racing-style Scoyco MR002-2 is for riders who want a metal toe. None of the three models has a safety standard printed on the tag.
