Scoyco MR002-2 short racing boots

The Scoyco dial tightens with one hand, paired with a single Velcro strap across the ankle. There is no zip. This closure suits riders who want the boot on and off fast before and after a ride.

The metal toe cap is visible from the outside. The stainless steel sliders sit on both sides, removable and replaceable. The box does not include spare sliders. When one needs replacing, bring the boots to BigBike or send them in.

The upper is 90% PU-coated microfiber and 10% polyester according to the secondary label. Mesh sits on both sides of the upper and on the tongue. The metal cap is a construction detail, not a safety promise. Note: turn the dial and fasten the strap only when the bike has stopped.

Mesh on the upper and tongue means rain soaks through to your feet. The MR002-2 is a dry-day boot. Riders who are often out in the rain should pick another model before buying.

The shift pad sits on the toe area where the lever touches during constant city shifting. The pleated, stretchy heel lets the ankle flex when you put a foot down at a red light. The tongue and cuff are padded. The cuff just covers the ankle.

The lining is glued in and cannot be removed. If the boots get rained on, dry the whole pair in a ventilated place. Do not heat-dry them to speed things up.

The MR002-2 has a metal toe cap, stainless steel sliders on both sides, and TPU blocks at the outer ankle and heel. Per the maker, the multiple cushioning points are a protective feature. No safety standard is printed on the tag. Riders who require a printed standard should not pick this model.

Sliders wear with your riding style. They are removable and count as a part replaced free once. Later replacements are sold at list price.
