The Kewig R8C ball adapter screws into a spare 8 mm threaded hole and gives you one 1-inch ball for a J1S or J2S arm. Use it on the Kewig H3L base or a mirror-stem thread of the same size. Price 179,000 VND.
How it is built
Opposite the 1-inch ball is an 8 mm thread, 10 mm long. The thread goes into an existing hole; the ball takes the arm. The box holds one adapter only, with no nut and no washer.
Where it fits
Before ordering, measure or confirm the thread size: the hole must be 8 mm.
BigBike has test-fitted it into the two 8 mm holes on the Kewig H3L base and into a mirror-stem thread of the same size. A 6 mm hole takes the Kewig R7, a 10 mm hole takes the Kewig R8A. The ball takes a Kewig J1S or J2S arm, and then a phone holder or a camera mount with a 1-inch ball.
Installation
Before fitting, have the arm and a phone holder or camera mount with a 1-inch ball ready.
Screw the adapter fully into the 8 mm hole → Fit the arm onto the ball → Fit the holder → Fit the device.
When moving from the commuter bike to the touring bike, remove the holder and the arm, then unscrew the adapter. Refit it in a hole of the same size.
The adapter is made of aluminium alloy.
The adapter weighs 42 g.
Unscrew the adapter to refit it in another hole of the same size.
The adapter alone holds no device; it needs an arm and a holder.
Fits an 8 mm threaded hole only.
The Kewig R8C turns an 8 mm thread into a 1-inch ball; it does not change the mirror thread size.
