The Kewig R7 ball adapter screws into an existing 6 mm threaded hole and gives you one 1-inch ball for a J1S or J2S arm. Pick by thread size, because the adapters all share one shape. Use it with the Kewig H3L base. Price 179,000 VND.
Pick by thread
The three adapters share one shape, so pick by thread size. The 6 mm thread, 27 mm long, screws into an existing hole. The other end is a 1-inch ball. The box holds the adapter only, with no nut and no washer.
Where it fits
Before ordering, measure or confirm the thread of the hole: only pick it if it is 6 mm.
BigBike has test-fitted it into the two 6 mm holes on the Kewig H3L mirror-stem base. For any other 6 mm hole on the bike, send BigBike a photo before ordering. An 8 mm hole takes the Kewig R8C, a 10 mm hole takes the Kewig R8A. The 1-inch ball takes a Kewig J1S or J2S arm. The arm joins a phone holder or a camera mount with a 1-inch ball.
Installation
When fitting it on the commuter bike, have the arm and a phone holder or camera mount with a 1-inch ball ready.
Screw the adapter into the 6 mm hole on the base → Fit the arm onto the ball → Fit the holder → Fit the device.
Switching to the touring bike for a mountain pass, remove the device, the arm and the holder, then unscrew the adapter from the base.
The adapter is made of aluminium alloy.
The adapter weighs 41 g.
The adapter unscrews to be refitted in another hole of the right size.
The adapter alone holds no device; it needs an arm and a holder.
For 6 mm threaded holes only.
The Kewig R7 turns a 6 mm thread into a 1-inch ball; it does not change the mirror thread size.
