Bolt size
The Kewig mirror riser bolt goes between the mirror stem and the mirror, lifting the mirror mounting point by 17 or 37 mm. Pick an 8 or 10 mm thread, right- or left-hand. The 17 mm lift is 75,000 VND and the 37 mm lift 86,000 VND.
What the lift is for
The mount arm catches on the headlight fairing. The male thread below screws into the mirror stem hole. The mirror screws back into the female thread above. Both ends share one thread size and one direction. Pick an 8 or 10 mm thread at 1.25 pitch, right- or left-hand, lifting 17 or 37 mm.
Pick the thread
On a scooter whose mirror stem sits low against the headlight fairing, BigBike has test-fitted it.
Measure the thread of the mirror bolt in use and test the thread direction on each side before ordering.
Turn it anticlockwise and the mirror loosens: a right-hand thread, take the plus mark. Turn it clockwise and the mirror loosens: a left-hand thread, take the minus mark. The two sides differ on many bikes.
After the lift, fit the Kewig M36-C2 phone mount, the H3L mirror-stem base, or the HB3-H or HB5 crossbar.
Installation
Pick the right thread first, then fit it to the bike.
Remove the mirror → Screw the riser into the bike → Fit the mirror onto the riser → Tighten by hand → Check the clearance.
6063 aluminium is softer than steel, so avoid heavy force. After a few rides to work or a long mountain pass, check the tightness again. The taller one puts more leverage on the mirror stem, so check it more closely.
It lifts the mirror mounting point so the mount arm clears the headlight fairing.
The threads at both ends keep the size and direction of the mirror stem.
The mirror screws back into the threaded hole on top.
Measure the thread size and test the thread direction on each side. The wrong one will not screw in.
6063 aluminium is softer than steel. Tighten by hand and check again after a few rides.
One bolt per bag, so both mirrors need two bolts.
BigBike makes no promise about load capacity.
