Strap, no screws
When your passenger gets off at a coffee shop, their helmet needs somewhere to hang. The strap loops round the tube, threads back through the hook body and tightens itself once something hangs from it. The hook needs no screws or tools and is not tied to a tube size. BigBike has test-looped it on a bare handlebar, crash bar and luggage rack at the shop.
Two items, 20 kg
One hook takes a helmet, the other a bag. Press the spring gate, hang the item, then let go and the spring gate snaps back. The hook hangs up to 20 kg. BigBike has hung a helmet and a shopping bag. With a heavy load, ride slowly.
Fitting the hooks
When fitting, pick a stretch of tube for the strap to loop round.
Loop round the tube → Thread back through the hook → Pull snug to the tube → Press the spring gate → Hang the item → Shake to check.
The box holds two D-shaped hooks with straps. To take a hook off, lift the item off then loosen the strap.
The strap needs no screws and loops around thick or odd-sized tubes.
Two hooks give separate spots for a helmet and a bag.
