The Kewig BHT-1 crash bar protector wraps around a 22 to 25.4 mm crash bar tube and takes scuffs in place of the bar. Measure the tube before ordering. BigBike has test-fitted it on Honda, BMW and Triumph crash bars. The box holds two pieces, 205,000 VND per pair.
Rubber pad
When the bike goes down in a parking lot, the crash bar hits the ground. The protector touches down first and takes the scuffs for the section of bar it wraps. The body is PA66 glass-fibre reinforced nylon with a rubber pad on the outer face. It only covers the paint on the section it wraps and does not stop the bike from falling.
22 to 25.4 mm tubes
Before ordering, measure across the crash bar tube with calipers where you plan to fit it. The protector only wraps 22 to 25.4 mm tubes, 28.6 mm and larger will not fit. BigBike has test-fitted it on the crash bars of the Honda CB650, CB500, BMW GS1300, GS1250, Triumph Tiger 900 and Tiger 660. If you are unsure of the measurement, send BigBike a photo of the calipers before ordering.
Fitting
Before a trip up north, fit the pair yourself at home with the key in the box.
Separate the two halves → Wrap around the tube → Turn to set direction → Tighten the four hex screws → Repeat on the other side.
The box holds a pair for both sides of the bike, 205,000 VND per pair. Each piece is 90 mm high, 50 mm wide, 46 mm thick and weighs 165 g.
Comes with a hex key so you can fit it yourself.
