The Kewig B9 DIN socket USB charger with 12V outlet plugs straight into the round DIN socket on the bike and gives three outputs: a 12V outlet, a Type-C port and a USB-A port. A bike without a DIN socket cannot use it. BigBike has test-plugged it on the BMW GS1300, GSA, GS1250 and Triumph Tiger 900. Price 406,000 VND.
12V outlet
The mini tyre pump in the top box uses a cigarette-type plug, but the bike only has a DIN socket. The upper lobe has a 12V outlet, the lower lobe has a Type-C port and a USB-A port. BigBike has plugged a mini tyre pump into the 12V outlet. The Type-C port rim is printed PD 45W. The USB-A port rim is printed QC 18W. One hinged lid covers all three outputs.
Needs a DIN socket
When the bike has a round flip-cap DIN socket, the DIN plug pushes straight in, no wiring or tools. Everyday scooters, step-throughs and manual commuter bikes almost never have a DIN socket, and without one it cannot be used. BigBike has test-plugged the charger into the DIN socket on the BMW GS1300, GSA, GS1250 and Triumph Tiger 900.
Plugging it in
Before a ride up to the highlands, get the mini tyre pump ready.
Flip open the DIN socket → Push in the DIN plug → Flip open the charger lid → Plug in the pump → Check the indicator light.
The box holds the charger only, no DIN socket or cable. There is no switch and no fuse of its own. If you cannot tell whether the bike has a DIN socket, send BigBike a photo of the power socket before ordering.
The 12V outlet lets you plug in a mini tyre pump as well.
The charger plugs straight into the DIN socket, no wiring needed.
Weighs 74 g with a PA66 plastic body.
Needs a DIN socket already on the bike, the box has no DIN socket or connecting cable.
The charger has no switch and no fuse of its own.
BigBike does not promise anything about each bike model's electrical system.
