Real-world check
BigBike weighed a size L with the visor fitted at 1.570g. In hand, the shell feels solid and noticeably heavy. Our staff with a 59 cm head found size L a snug fit, slightly tight at the crown yet light once on. The oval interior is worth testing carefully if your temples usually get squeezed. Per the manufacturer page, the shell is high resistance thermoplastic over a multi-density EPS liner.
This figure applies only to the size L weighed at BigBike; other sizes and homologation versions may carry different numbers.
Labels and unboxing
Our staff found ECE 22.06 printed on the rear visor label. The box label adds QCVN 2:2021/BKHCN, a size L weight under 1.600 Gr and Vietnam as the place of manufacture. Unboxing, the shop noted 4 intake vents, 1 exhaust vent, speaker pockets, a fabric bag, a Pinlock 70, a manual and a chin curtain. The box label also states a 5-year benefit, activated by scanning the QR code within 30 days of purchase.

Visor system
The integrated sun visor earns its keep when you ride out of a tunnel into harsh sunlight. Removing it for cleaning needs no tools either. The included Pinlock MaxVision keeps fogging down on cold mornings or in the rain. Stuck in hot traffic, you can crack the main visor open one step for airflow without lifting it fully. Opened this way it still shields your eyes and keeps dust from hitting them directly. The front intakes work with the rear exhaust on hot midday stretches; close them when it turns cold.
Fit
AGV splits the shell into several sizes, so smaller heads are not stuck with an oversized profile. Cheek pads come in multiple thicknesses and fit configurations. If one cheek feels pressed or the other too loose, the shop can suggest a pad swap instead of a different helmet. The interior leaves a channel for eyeglass arms. Glasses wearers can slide the arms in without prying the liner, avoiding sore pressure points at the temples on long rides. The shop noted the speaker pockets come ready for an SCS intercom, with no liner cutting. Per the distributor, the vents still adjust with gloves on.
Model choice
Choose the K3 if you need an oval fit, a sun visor, an included Pinlock and room for eyeglasses. It suits riders who want the European standard with a usable set of accessories out of the box.
If you want the oval fit at 6.100.000d instead of 7.200.000d, consider the AGV K1S; both are BigBike listed prices. For another oval option, see the Caberg Drift Evo II Carbon; BigBike weighed a size L at 1.476g or 1.493g depending on colour.
The K3's limits are its heavy feel in hand and a slightly tight crown on our test head. Round-headed riders should try it on in person, as the oval interior can press on the temples.
